SUMMARY

Kooley High - Raleigh North Carolina's veteran hip hop group - released their sophomore album Eastern Standard Time in Spring 2011. Leading up to the release help was needed in developing the vision of the album artwork and executing a final product.

PROCESS

The concept of Eastern Standard Time revolved around the idea of travel, being on the go, and the challenges that come with the life of an artist. To evoke this feeling an interactive packaging concept was developed. The hard copy album allows fans to flip between the front and back to simulate a looking glass perspective of Kooley High inside an airport terminal. On the back the tracklist was developed to mimic a split-flap display to add a nostalgic element as well as stay consistent with their branding and image.
